ABOUT CYCLIN RIO

CYCLIN RIO is a project created by Mauricio Herzog, who, after years of organizing sporting events, has decided to pursue a dream of working with and serving other cyclists. Bike rentals, group rides and customized rides are offered on a regular basis.

Herzog has been traveling to many international destinations since 2009 in search of the best places to cycle & tour, and while reflecting on the trips and rides, he realized that there were ways to make cycle tourism more entertaining and enjoyable:
1) Connecting with local cyclists to find the best routes and;
2) Being able to easily find a good bicycle and equipment locally to rent.

So with this concept in mind, Herzog decided to to offer cycle rides in Rio that not only were designed by a local rider for a tourist looking to enjoy and visit Rio, but also offered the equipment necessary to make this an enjoyable and safe experience. This is how and why CYCLIN RIO was created and is now being developed with an effort to help cyclists from all over Brazil and from all over the world discover the great rides and views that only Rio de Janeiro offers.
