Ride Details:

- If you are in Lisbon for more than one day, you should include this ride, or part of this ride on your agenda.
- It´s a relatively easy route, and you can "book" your bike on the train any time, including on the way to Cascais, this way, you only have to ride it one-way.
- It´s a great way to see one of Lisbon´s prettiest beaches, and then ride along the Tejo River, while riding by charming Cascais, less famous Oieiras and Estoril on the way.
- The entire ride sports an amazing sunset over the Tejo River, so be prepared to take some amazing photos.
- The Belém neighborhood offers several monuments, that you will want to spend some time visiting, so be prepared for a stop before getting to your final destination in Belém.
- Your reward for cycling over 30km is ending the ride at award winning and exclusive producer of the Pasteis de Belém. Make sure you ask for one that was just baked, and don´t ask them for the recipe, as this is a major secret and only two people in the world know it.
- Special thanks to my friend Nuno, who not only dropped me off in Praia do Guincho, but also showed me around some of Lisboa´s most beautiful places. Thanks buddy, hope to show around Rio some day...on a bike :)

Tips:

1) End the ride at the "only" Pastel de Belém Factory, but before, stop for some photos at the famous Tower of Belém.

1) Terminar o pedal e comer um pastel de Belém na "Única Fábrica de Pastel de Belém", mas antes parar para tirar uma foto na famosa Torre de Belém.
2) You add other activities to your advanturous day in Lisbon. Either go for a run in Praia do Guincho or go stand up paddling in Estoril; these are both good ways to enjoy the warmer climate and scenery that Lisbon has to offer.

3) Spend some time in the charming, tiny Cascais, which is located very close to Lisbon, right on the Atlantic Ocean.  If you are looking to get a bite to eat, good suggestions are the burguer place "A Burgues - Hamburgueria Portuguesa" and the sandwich place "Os Bordallos".
