Short and to the point:
- Salta is a city and province (state) in a very mountainous region on the North of Argentina
- It offers a mix of road, trail and MTB cycling
- This ride was my first in Salta, and it started with trails on some backroads, until we arrived in a very charming area of Salta: Quebrada de San Lorenzo.
- San Lorenzo is active area, with lots of adventure tourism options
- It is also a very charming area on the foothill of one of Salta´s many mountains
- The climb to get to San Lourenzo is very short, but the trail can continue by foot up the mountain, along one of the many rivers that flows from the mountains into the city
- The main road of the Quebrada of San Lorenzo offers many dining and snack options
- Enjoying the river banks on a sunny summer day is very popular among local residents
- The ride back was along two main roads, both of which had a separate path for cyclists
